You can apply for disability on your own at the local Social Security office or online at ssa.gov! We cannot give legal advice.
If you are not familiar with computers and filling out paperwork, or have already been denied, you may want to consider using a lawyer to help. This list of local lawyers is provided for your convenience and is not considered a recommendation.
You do not need to pay the lawyer up front for their help. In fact, the lawyer can charge you only if Social Security approves you for benefits. The Lawyer’s fee is then taken out of the back pay Social Security owes you from the date of your initial application. The fee can be no more than 25% of your back pay, up to a maximum of $6,000.
